CROSSING THE DESERT

Over the last 30 years, over 10,000 estimated migrants have died while crossing the Sonoran Desert on their journeys to a new life in the United States. Strict Border Patrol policies meant to deter potential immigrants have instead led them to take more drastic measures to enter the country.
